Recently, the American Clean Energy Council (ACP) released the highly anticipated "Clean Energy Quarterly Market Report for the First Quarter of 2024". The report details the latest developments in the U.S. clean energy industry, revealing significant first-quarter results for the utility-scale solar, wind and energy storage industries. According to the report, the total newly installed capacity in the United States in the first quarter reached an astonishing 5.585GW, with a year-on-year growth rate of 28%. This data fully demonstrates the strong growth momentum of the clean energy industry.

Among all types of clean energy, the solar energy industry has performed particularly well. The newly added solar installed capacity reached 4.557GW, making the cumulative installed solar capacity in the United States exceed the 100GW mark for the first time, reaching 100.547GW. This achievement marks a major breakthrough in the field of clean energy in the United States and also sets a new milestone for the development of global clean energy.

ACP pointed out in the report that it took only four years for the United States' ground solar installed capacity to jump from the first 50GW to the second 50GW. Compared with the previous 18 years of development, this speed can be described as rapid progress. This is mainly due to the joint promotion of multiple factors such as technological progress, cost reduction and policy support.

In addition to the solar industry, the energy storage industry is also showing strong growth. The report shows that the scale of clean energy reserves in the United States has expanded to nearly 175GW, reaching the highest level on record. This achievement is inseparable from the rapid expansion of the battery energy storage and solar industries. Since the second quarter of 2022, the average quarterly growth rates of these two fields have reached 11% and 4% respectively, becoming an important force in promoting the expansion of clean energy reserves.

It is worth noting that the development of the clean energy industry not only helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions and alleviate the pressure of climate change, but also creates a large number of job opportunities and promotes economic growth. Therefore, governments and companies around the world are actively increasing investment and research and development in the field of clean energy, hoping to occupy a more favorable position in the future global energy landscape.

To sum up, the "Clean Energy Quarterly Market Report for the First Quarter of 2024" released by the American Clean Energy Association fully demonstrates the strong growth momentum and broad development prospects of the U.S. clean energy industry. With the continuous strengthening of technological progress and policy support, it is believed that clean energy will be more widely used and promoted around the world in the future, making greater contributions to the sustainable development of mankind.
