Uzbekistan's Oriental Truth reported on September 11 that Russian Energy Minister Tsverev said that he had reached an agreement with the Uzbek Ministry of Energy on the Russian Unified Power Company joining the Central Asian Joint Energy System. This move is not only conducive to Russia's electricity exports, but also can help Central Asian countries maintain and balance their energy systems when they encounter power shortages, natural disasters or high-load operation of the power grid, and realize cross-border energy allocation. Uzbek Energy Minister Mirzamakhmudov emphasized that the Russian Unified Power Company joining the Central Asian Joint Energy System is of great significance to ensuring the security of Uzbekistan's energy system.
