A few days ago, the French energy regulator, the Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE), released the feed-in tariff (FIT) for rooftop photovoltaic installations up to 500 kW in the second quarter of 2022.
It is reported that the tariff level will be reduced quarter by quarter according to the new capacity of connection requests received in the first three months. However, tariffs increased for all PV system categories during the quarter, from €181.40 ($190.90)/MWh (for installations up to 3kW) to €96.90/MWh (capacities from 36kW to arrays ranging from 100 kW).
Depending on the project size and location, different tariffs apply. The new tariffs took effect on May 1. Tariffs are tied to inflation, and in the coming weeks, interest rates are likely to rise.
