According to reports, Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry will implement a system starting in 2024 to purchase electricity generated by photovoltaic panels installed on the roofs of factories or warehouses at high prices. Through the fixed price acquisition system (FIT), it is expected to be 20% to 30% higher than the price of photovoltaic electricity purchased from flat land. From the perspective of achieving decarbonization and energy security, introducing more renewable energy is a top priority for Japan. There are fewer and fewer places suitable for installing photovoltaic panels in Japan, and the government will support the use of rooftops for photovoltaic power generation. In Japan, it is the first time that FIT prices are differentiated according to the location where photovoltaic panels are installed. We will promote the introduction of photovoltaic panels in logistics warehouses with large roof areas, and contribute to the achievement of the 2030 greenhouse gas emission reduction target.
