Recently, the Iberizú Hydropower Station in Bolivia, which was constructed by the Fourth Hydropower Bureau, successfully completed the water storage node target, marking that the project construction has entered a new stage.

The maximum dam height of the Iberizú Hydropower Station in Bolivia is 125 meters, the dam crest length is 368 meters, and it is divided into 19 dam sections. The dam crest elevation is 2177.588 meters, the dam crest width is 10 meters, and the total roller compacted concrete volume is 1.044 million cubic meters, including two flood discharge bottom holes and 3 overflow surface holes. The total installed capacity is 279.9 MW, and the annual power generation can reach 119.05 MW.

The water storage of the Iberizú Hydropower Station dam is a key node of the project, including the installation and commissioning of the bottom hole valve room, the construction of the geomembrane in front of the dam, the removal of temporary buildings in the reservoir area, the environmental protection of the reservoir area, and the removal of the cofferdam. The project department accurately sorted out the precautions before water storage, coordinated the implementation of the construction progress of key parts, organized special meetings, optimized the construction plan, set node targets, assigned responsibilities to people, and took multiple measures to ensure that the dam is filled with water as scheduled. At present, the water level of the power station is stable within the design range, and all safety indicators and functional tests are normal.

After completion, the Iberisu Hydropower Station will provide power support for the industrial development of Cochabamba Province and surrounding provinces, provide clean energy for the industrial development of several surrounding provinces, and provide clean power energy to neighboring countries.
