On the 2nd of this month, the Indian energy giant Adani Green Energy officially announced that its 700 MW wind-solar hybrid project was put into operation. The COD invested in this project also brought the total operating installed capacity in India to 8,024 MW, ranking first in India. .

The project is located in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, western India. It is the company's fourth wind-solar hybrid project and the largest project of its kind in the world. The project has a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) of Rs 3.24/kWh. (Note: 3.24 Indian Rupees ≈ 0.2739 RMB)

The project applies advanced renewable energy technologies, including, bifacial PV modules and horizontal single-axis trackers to maximize photovoltaic power generation. The project aims to achieve a capacity utilization of at least 50%, the highest of any renewable project in India. The project will help meet rising electricity demand by harnessing the potential of renewable energy and providing more reliable solutions.

The project company Adani Hybrid Energy Jaisalmer Four Limited is a 100% subsidiary of Adani Green Energy AGEL, and is engaged in the operation of the power station project.

Adani had previously completed the first wind-solar hybrid project in India with a capacity of 390 MW in May 2022, and then put into operation the world's largest 600 MW photovoltaic hybrid project at a location near the first project in September 2022. In December 2019, a 450 MW wind and solar hybrid project was put into operation. The above three projects are all located in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.
