More advanced controllers have functions such as adjusting the lighting time in all seasons, half-power function, and intelligent charging and discharging functions; batteries are generally placed underground or have special battery insulation boxes, and can use valve-regulated lead-acid batteries, gel batteries, iron-aluminum batteries, or lithium batteries. Solar lamps work fully automatically and do not require trenching and wiring, but the lamp poles need to be installed on embedded parts (concrete bases).

Working principle
Description of the working principle of solar street lights: During the day, under the control of the intelligent controller, the solar panel absorbs solar light and converts it into electrical energy after being irradiated by sunlight. During the day, the solar cell module charges the battery pack, and at night the battery pack provides power to the LED light source to realize the lighting function. The DC controller can ensure that the battery pack is not damaged due to overcharge or over-discharge, and it also has functions such as light control, time control, temperature compensation, lightning protection, and reverse polarity protection.
