What is a photovoltaic module, and what is the function of a photovoltaic module?

Photovoltaic modules, also called solar panels, are devices that use sunlight to generate volt effects to directly convert solar energy into electrical energy. Photovoltaic modules can generate direct current under sunlight, and can be used to drive direct current equipment after being properly connected in series and parallel, or drive alternating current equipment after being converted into alternating current by an inverter. Photovoltaic modules have no moving parts, produce no noise, and are easy to maintain. They are clean energy products vigorously promoted by the state.

What are the types of photovoltaic modules? Which is the best?

According to the different battery materials inside the module, it can be divided into monocrystalline silicon photovoltaic modules, polycrystalline silicon photovoltaic modules, amorphous silicon photovoltaic modules and diversified photovoltaic modules. At present, the mainstream of the market is monocrystalline silicon and polycrystalline silicon photovoltaic modules. Monocrystalline silicon photovoltaic modules have the highest photoelectric conversion efficiency among all types of solar cells, and are generally packaged with tempered glass and waterproof resin, so they are durable. The photoelectric conversion efficiency of polycrystalline silicon photovoltaic modules is lower than that of monocrystalline silicon, and the service life is relatively short. However, its production materials are simple, power consumption is saved, and the overall production cost is low, so it occupies a larger market share.
