Main parameters affecting solar cell modules

a) Parameters under STC standard test conditions: The existing main nominal data are all based on STC conditions, namely

1. Ground 2. Light intensity 1000W/m2 3. Air quality AM1.5 4. Temperature 25℃ (battery temperature)

b) The normal working parameters of NOCT components: that is, the parameters under the conditions of 800W/m2, AM1.5, wind speed of 1m/s, and ambient temperature of 20°C are mainly used as an important reference value for customers, because in actual conditions, under this condition parameters are closer to reality.

c) Voc open circuit voltage: the voltage value of the component when no load is applied, in this case the maximum voltage

d) Isc short-circuit current: the current of the component when no load is applied and the positive and negative poles are directly connected. In this case, the current is the largest

e) Vmpp maximum peak voltage: the voltage value at the maximum output power

f) Impp maximum peak current: current value at maximum output power

g) Temperature coefficient:

Some properties of a material change with temperature. The so-called temperature coefficient refers to the rate at which the physical properties of a material change with temperature.

For components, this parameter is to characterize the current, voltage, and power of the component changing with temperature. At present, there are only three temperature coefficients of open-circuit voltage, short-circuit current and peak power in our specification. Among them, only short-circuit current and temperature are positively correlated. Voltage and power are negatively correlated, that is, short-circuit current increases with temperature, and voltage and power decrease with temperature. Therefore, temperature is a factor that must be considered when designing the maximum number of modules in series.
