How to scientifically operate and maintain photovoltaic power plants in rainy days

In the case of rainy weather, the irradiance is not high, and the power generation of the photovoltaic power station will be very low. This kind of continuous rainy weather has made many friends who have installed photovoltaics start to worry. How can we ensure stable power generation and minimize the impact of rainy days?

1. The preliminary design and construction of the power station should not be ignored

When the power station is designed in the early stage, the selection of the appropriate site is very important for the power generation of the power station in the later stage. If the power station is built on flat land, geographical and geological factors should be taken into consideration, such as the orientation of the terrain, the degree of slope fluctuation, hidden dangers of geological disasters, the depth of water accumulation, flood water level, drainage conditions, etc. Insufficient consideration of flood control in design, floods inundate the station during the flood season, resulting in heavy losses! Reasonable site selection can minimize the losses caused by objective factors.

When designing the power station, it is necessary to fully consider the depth of water accumulation, drainage conditions and installation orientation. Many fishery and light complementary projects submerged the equipment due to the rising water level. To a large extent, the design process was not considered comprehensively, and the poor drainage capacity caused the tragedy to occur. Therefore, when selecting a site, not only the cost, but also the safety of subsequent operations must be considered.

2. Equipment selection should not be sloppy

Dehumidification and moisture-proofing of electrical equipment at the station is a particularly severe task during prolonged rainy days. High humidity environment has a great impact on power equipment. If it is not handled properly, it may cause obstacles to equipment operation and even affect system security. For example, the inside of the inverter is easy to form wet dust with the dust in the air, which corrodes the electronic components inside the equipment and causes the equipment to be abnormal.

Generally speaking, a temperature and humidity meter should be installed in the high-voltage power distribution room to detect the indoor temperature and humidity in real time, and a dehumidifier should be equipped to prevent such weather from bringing security risks to the equipment; mainstream photovoltaic equipment basically uses IP65 protection level, with waterproof Performance components, inverters, combiner boxes, etc.
